 Morning: Departure of all participants
for Alor Setar, Kedah (approx 5 hours drive north). Trailer transport
of 4x4s to Alor Setar available. Check in at RFC official hotel.
 Night: Briefing at official hotel.

 Morning: Official Opening of
RFC 2006 in Alor Setar. Followed by Prologue Special Stages (first
day of 4x4 action) in the city. Whole day of Special Stages.
 Night : Official hotel, Alor Setar.

 Morning: Continuation of the
Prologue Special Stages, Alor Setar.
 Evening: End of Special Stages and depart for waterfall
campsite. Refuel at Kuala Nerang.
 Night: Welcome to Predator country (the jungle of
Padang Terap district).

 4x4 battles at Predator Country
- untamed trails across rivers, gullies, log bridges and highland
territories. Campsites along the way.

 Rendezvous at Padang Sanai for
refueling. End of Part One. Final regrouping at Gubir. Proceed
to Muda Lake for commencement of Part Two.

 Into the unknown at the Twilight
Zone. Face your fears and live your 4x4 dreams at the Terminator.
Unforgiving terrain of lowlands and highlands. The jungle is
neutral. Natural obstacles comprising of river crossings, ruts,
deep gullies, muddy stretches, uphill and downhill challenges.

 Exit vicinity of Kg Batu Lapan.
Proceed to Sg Petani for grand finale parade.
 Night:
Dinner and prize giving presentation. Official closing ceremony
and end of RFC 2006.

 The Competitive / Adventure

 Each team will be tested on
their ability to overcome various obstacles along the way. Points
gained will be on the fastest time. Penalty for infringement
of safety and environmental rules. Overcoming the obstacles with
recovery work will be emphasized.
The
year 2006 will be the 10th edition of the Rainforest Challenge,
an international event awarded the Top Ten Most Spectacular Sports
Tourism Event by the Ministry of Tourism & Ministry of Youth
& Sports of Malaysia and the Most Countries Participation
in a 4x4 Event by Malaysia Book of Records.
If you have the passion of living out your 4x4 passion,
have the correct mindset and attitude for a jungle adventure
and love meeting up with fellow 4x4 adventurers from around the
world - then the Rainforest Challenge is for you.
Be forewarned : This event is not for the faint hearted.
Mother Nature rules supreme, event schedule is subject to the
awesome might of nature.

is allowed. Modifications allowed as per Rules and Regulations.
Vehicle must be street legal in the country of embarkation.
- Overall Champion (Open class) - Under 2,000cc Class Winner - 2,000cc
to 3,000cc Petrol class Winner - 2,000cc to 3,000cc
Diesel class Winner - Above 3,000cc Winner

 Support vehicle will carry your
personal belongings and provide you with food/drinks on a Spartan
basis. Only at campsites and selected stops. Stopovers at towns
and villages for drinks and food are not included. Your own dry
rations. Support vehicle will not be responsible for lost baggage
and personal belongings.

or team members in the vehicle.

 All supporters and family members
are welcome to witness the pre-event happenings (see modified
4x4 from around the world, secrutineering of vehicles) opening
ceremony and the Prologue Special Stages. See the opening ceremony
and the first two day's Prologue Special Stages then head off
for your own holidays or join the convoy at special designated
places.
