|10th Albania Rally TICKER: Longest stage of the rally - the most in the finish.|
On Wednesday the 10th edition of the "Albania Rally" brought the participants from Peshkopi in the Northeast to Vlora in the Southwest of Albania - the longest stage of the rally.
Competitors had to manage 490 kilometers overall, splitted in two stages with 35 and 164 kms and three liaisons with together 266 kms. The first bikes arrived late in the camp, the last cars are actually (20:16 CET) still in the stage. Actually 9 cars and 53 bikes finished the stage.
In the cars we have the eventually Top Five of the day (waiting for penalties etc.). First finishers became the Albanians Marku / Flamuri with their Jeep Cherokee and 08:38:39 hours (including liaisons.
Second eventually is the favourite-dup Renti Sina and Dolly Wittberger (Toyota Land Cruiser, 08:40:15), third the LILU-2 prototype team Dervishaj / Papuli (09:01:38). They were followed by German Henrik Strasser (Toyota Land Cruiser, 09:02:23) and his team-partner Neese/Mueller (Toyota Land Cruiser, 09:34:19).
In the bikes eventually the Italian and more-times Albania-winner Andrea Cosentino has won the stage, he needed 07:37:04 hours with his KTM 450EXC. Maybe second is Ondrej Klymciw from the Czech Republic (Husqvarna TE450, 07:38:43) in front of Dutchman Maikel Verkade (Husaberg, 07:41:07). Eventually fourth could be Italian Massimo Prazzoli (KTM 350EXC, 07:43:44), fifth Christian Pastori (Italy, Beta R520, 07:46:13).
