 | 24 Hours 4X4 Greece: Route is ready, Cooper Tires sponsor, Amarok starting.

 The route for the "24 Hours 4X4 Greece" 2010 is ready. "Five days on the mountain were enough to right down all the route. What is remaining is the small final part. More than 1000 kilometers, many mistakes, many new routes. We used 250 liters of fuel, we ate mote than 30 Souvlaki. We drove more than 40 hours, we were stopped for more of 10 hours, we were staked 5 and we slept the rest" the Organisers reported.
For the second year, Cooper Tires will be the sponsor of the Event. The famous Zappeio building in the center of Athens, inside the National Park and beside the Greek Parliament, will host the start and the finish of the race. Zappeio hosted many international meetings and for many years the start of the well known Acropolis Rally.
Distomo city at central Greece, near Livadia, will host the two service parks at Saturday evening. The city major will host the competitors during those service parks. Olympus Plaza will host three times the competitors. The first just after the start, the second as a service park at the Sunday morning and as a regrouping before the finish ceremony.
Takis Egglezoipoulos, the Greek 4x4 Champion of 2008, will take place in the race with a a Jeep Wrangler JK 2.8 Diesel. His co-driver will be Soula Karamina. With Giannis Harpidis and the local "4 Wheels Magazine" will start with a Amateur Volkswagen-Amarok in the production class - it might be the first appearance of the vehicle on a European event.
Five competitors from Bulgaria and 1 from Rumania are the foreign competitors up to know. Among them is Trayan Trayanon who finished second at "Balkan Off Road Marathon", driving a Toyota Land Cruiser 70.
The event now has 79 entries: Z1 Open (20), Z2 Normal (35), Z3 Entry (10), Z0 SUV (5) and ATV (1). Concerning the manufacturers there are 20 Suzuki, 11 Jeep, 9 Mitsubishi, 7 KIA, 6 Land Rover, 3 Lada and 2 Toyota.
