 | ABSA 2012: Date changes for South African ABSA Off Road Championship.
|

 | | | Circumstances have forced the Motorsport South Africa Off Road Car Racing Commission to make two changes to the "Absa Off Road Championship" 2012 calendar.
The 4x4 Mega World 400 at Carnival City, round six of the series, has been moved forward by a week to Friday, August 31 and Saturday, September 1. This follows a change to the South African Rally Championship calendar.
"There are competitors and manufacturers who are involved in both the off road and rally championships," said off road commission president Richard Schilling. "The 4x4 Mega World 400 change has been made to accommodate the rally teams and maintain a reasonable gap of at least three weeks to a month between events in the two categories."
The final event of the season, at a venue still to be announced, has been moved forward a week to November 23 and 24. This change has been made to accommodate the large number of Absa Off Road competitors who take part in the 94,7 Cycle Race which will this year be held on November 17.
