 | Abu Dhabi DC BLOG: Italy´s Manuel Lucchese in Abu Dhabi´s Desert (part 2).
|
From Manuel Lucchese: "Tuesday was again a hard day, I didin´t felt so good this morning but started the second Super Special trying to push... but saw that I just couldn’t get the pace.
The stage was really hard - but beautiful with all dunes and many giant ones... really fun to ride eventhough very tyring!
Just tried to find a constant pace, a bit too slow but my objective for this year is concentrated on my class and will attain to my plan.
This year the race feels a bit harder than last year especially due to very soft sand and many holes, almost half of the riders are already out after only 2 stages so this says it all.
Wednesday will be probably the hardest stage of the rally with 345 kms of special stage with many big big dunes. Sorry for updating so late and not much but I wasn’t feeling too good so was unable to do much..."
About Manuel Lucchese: Born on the 20th of July 1988 in Italy, Manuel Lucchese started racing motocross at the age of 6 years - and for many years he competed in the Italian motocross and supercross championship.
"In 2004 just for fun I tried racing in Enduro and Rallies and incredibly the same year I turned pro" he reported.
Now at the age of 23 he is racing for Husaberg Factory Team as "new talent" in the FIM World Cup and heading to the Dakar in 2013. Together with his sporting career he also write as journalist/bike tester for an Enduro Magazine and also studies business and management at college. Visit the original blog at [ LADAKAR.COM ].
