That´s the problem in the FIA World Cup, if the organizers are not checking their dates, creating rallys too close... and the old FIA observers don´t care. After the FIA opener "Italian Baja" just this weekend the second run is to start in Abu Dhabi - nearly no chance to transport the cars from Italy to Abu Dhabi without a plane.
Some tried their chance, like three Italian "Ralliart"-Teams - and the former World Champion Miroslav Zapletal with his X-raid BMW X3CC. Via container and truck the four cars should be transported to the Emirates - but the truck was stopped at the Israelian-Jordan border.
"Miroslav Zapletal is already in place and his navigator Mila Janacek heading to Abu Dhabi this afternoon" the team reported. "After they were unlucky with the Italian Baja because they had to withdraw from the race through a technical problems on cooling system from the third place, now they are stuck again "in bad luck".
They now try to find rent a rallycar in the region, but the day before the start this will be very hard. Therefore believes, that perhaps the truck with racing cars arrive at least before the start of "Sealine Qatar Baja", which starts after 14 days...
