X-Raid Russia’s driver Leonid Novitskiy was looking forward to the 2009 World Cup with big hopes. He wanted to participate in all three events but it turned out that he couldn’t start in the first round, the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge. The reason: during his preparation in Moscow he injured he shoulder joint and now he was banned from loading it in any form by his doctors. The Russian driver is very disappointed but he hopes to be able to start in Tunesia at the end of April.
