 | AD Desert Challenge: Toyota "Team FJ" Rally Bites from Abu Dhabi after SS3.
|
Teamreport FJ Team "Where do I begin? To tell the story of how great a love can be, the sweet love story that is older than the sea. The simple truth about the love he brings to me... Where do I start?" The lyrics of the famous love story movie plays on our heads today as we remember how much we love this sport no matter how bad and ugly it gets.
The good; Team FJ finished Tuesday’s stage 8th in the car category and considering all problems that happened it's just great. That put them 7th overall to start the day, fantastic! The bad: the front differential seals went loose on the road section to SS3 just 2kms after the start, Dave and Xavier took the decision to pull out from the stage to save the car from further damages.
The Ugly: the only option is to put the car back on the trailer and take it back to the bivouac with the consequences of maximum time penalty for the day. The Hope: While we are returning to the bivouac the rest of the service team is down to Madinat Zayed to get the required parts needed to fix the problem overnight and give it a restart on Wednesday.
"How long does it last? Can love be measured by the hours in a day? I have no answers now, but this much I can say... I'm going to need him till the stars all burn away... And he'll be there!" This part is dedicated to our service crew that did a great and is continuing to do so.
