The fourth edition of the "Africa Eco Race" - for many the "Real Dakar Rally" from France to Dakar/Senegal - has now opened the entries and fees are available on the official website [ www.africarace.com ].
Real sporting challenge between Europe and Dakar by crossing Morocco and Mauritania, this African adventure carries over values of simplicity, conviviality and authenticity between December 27th 2011 and January 8th 2012.
Sporting Director, René Metge, well understood the competitors’ expectations and will still propose this year a well-balanced route where driving and navigation will alternate in perfect alchemy. As the organiser told: "A rally for all - from the professional to the amateur all of them will live their own race."
The Africa Eco Race 2012 is a race opened to Cars, Bikes, Quads, SSV and Trucks. But for those who do not wish to fight against the clock, it is always possible to enter the Raid tourism category. Participants will take every day a part of the race route and will be able to face the same difficulties as the competitors.
More than ever, the fourth edition of the Africa Eco Race is a different event. By proposing the best of Africa, it suggests you especially to share a state of mind, well anchored in the strong values of the rally raid. René Metge cares a lot for these principles and as usual will propose a fascinating route, which will allow you to share his love for Africa.
