 | Africa Eco Race: The first stage of Rally Nador to Boudnib Morocco cancelled

The first stage of "Sonangol Africa Eco Race 2013", which was to connect the Moroccan towns of Nador and Boudnib, was cancelled by the organization of the rally.
Unlike what had been expected, the group set out for Melilla because of a failure in one of the boats which would carry the vehicles to Morocco, and that implied delays in starting the first stage.
Portugal´s race driver Elisabete Jacinto commented on the decision: "I regret not having run at least part of the special, which would have been useful to test a series of details, and tomorrow we would start with everything fine-tuned. Another reason for regretting is that this special was very demanding in terms of navigation, a fact that would play in our favour."
