|Africa Race 2014: Team is already in full preparation for the 2014 edition.|
First infos about the dates and route about the 2014 [ SONANGOL AFRICA ECO RACE ]: On Sunday December 29th, 2013 will go through scrutineering before boarding the ferry that will carry all the participants to Morocco.
After 11 stages (with one rest day) competitors will race down the legendary shores of the Lac Rose in Dakar on Saturday January 11th, 2014. Both the start and finish will be on weekends for the convenience of both the competitors and participants.
Just like for the past 5 years the route will be extremely varied, on exclusive tracks needing lots of navigation through the heart of the African scenery. With a real rest day and one, maybe two loops, the course will be made so that competitors will find all the challenges they dream of with a minimum of liaison, (which will surely be welcomed by the service teams as well).
One thing for sure about the Africa Eco Race, bivouacs are comfortable with their showers and toilets but also friendly with their big tents where everyone ends up for briefings, video clips on a screen and meals. Bivouacs are situated in remote locations, in the middle of typically African landscapes.
The Rally is about to sign partnerships with various television channels. We’ll have more news on this soon. Internet will also have a major role in the media coverage of the event because in addition to following the race in live, every evening a streaming video will show the life of the camp.
