Africa Race: Competitors fill the caravan up, support confirmed.

The Rally Raid amateurs make no mistake in subscribing to Africa Race to show their attachment to the African continent. They want to rediscover the mythical territories that have contributed to the legend of this discipline. Today 68 cars, 34 motorbikes and 16 trucks have already registered for this first edition and these numbers should increase in the final month of registration.
Competitors know that they can count on Hubert Auriol "the African" to devise a route and an event open to all levels of competition. A great race is promised for the fan of Africa.
Last week, Hubert Auriol was received by the President of High Council of State and Mauritanian Chief of State, General Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz, who has confirmed his total support for the Africa Race organisation. Following his audience with the President, Hubert Auriol declared to the Mauritanian press: "We had the pleasure of meeting the President, he encouraged our initiative to organise this new sporting event: Africa Race, which will take place in Mauritania in January"
