Andy McMillin wins first overall at CODE McMillin 500 in Mexicali

| |
|
 | | | The debut of the CODE McMillin 500 took place April 21st - 22nd in Mexicali, Baja California. Over 200 competitors raced through the exceptionally challenging terrain that lies between the start/finish in Mexicali, and the halfway point in San Felipe. The Team of Andy and Scott McMillin blazed in their Class 1 car to win first overall, (finishing over 40 minutes ahead of the nearest competitor) with a finish time of 7:20:37 and an average speed of 62.23 MPH.
Having battled mechanical challenges early this race season, Andy was ready to have some fun at this event. He had this to say about the race; "The race was a lot of fun, we actually stopped and signed autographs while we were doing some quick repairs. We ran clean, having only one flat tire during the entire race. The people at CODE have done a great job of putting together the course and a cool event overall. If you haven't run a CODE race yet, you definitely need to come out and try one. The Mexican fans are great. They really love off-road racing."
Look for Andy to be splitting driving duties in the prestigious trophy truck class with defending champion Robby Gordon, at the upcoming SCORE Baja 500.
