 | Australasian Safari: Discounted "earlybird" Entry Fees close on March 29.
|
Competitors who enter the 2013 "Australasian Safari Rally" before March 29 will receive an earlybird discount of AUD $1,000 off the full rate entry price.
The entry fee includes entry for one competing vehicle, trophy presentation dinner ticket for each competing crew member, access to the on event facilities, public risk and personal accident insurance coverage and a merchandise pack.
Entry for the 'adventure of a lifetime' will increase to full rate close of business Friday March 29, 2013. Entries to the event will close on Friday August 23, 2013. Entry forms can be found on the Competitors page on the official website [ SAFARI COMPETITORS INFO ].
In response to the growing popularity of older bikes in motorsport, Australasian Safari would like to announce the new "Safari Pre-1985 Challenge Award." Eligible entrants can look forward to riding alongside the likes of adventurer Neil Grime. Neil will be riding a 1983 BMW R65 from the workshop of Australian BMW bike modifier Paul Rooney, the same bike that USA-based Jason Adams won the Andy Caldecott ‘Spirit of Safari’ Award on in 2012.
The Safari Pre-1985 Challenge Award is open to all competitors riding a bike built before December 1985. Competitors will need to provide proof of the build date of their bike to be eligible.
Safari would like to welcome back the "A4" Buggies category for the 2013 & 2014 event. In-line with the return of this category, the maximum vehicle width for entrants will increase to 2.5 metres or 98.4 inches. This will open up the "Cars" category allowing for bigger vehicles, such as Buggies and Pro-Trucks, to compete.
International competitors who are considering taking advantage of Safari's free shipping and handling offer will need to indicate their interest by the end of April.
After that the organisers will make decisions about the viability of the freight packages, based on minimum numbers, as per the fact sheets. Funds are limited so get in early to avoid disappointment. If you need more information, please contact the Safari office.
Local "Motobike" competitors can freight their bike from Australian mainland capital cities to Perth including return for just AUD $475. The freight offer is valid from Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide for properly crated and packaged bikes. Competitors interested in the deal are advised to contact Safari HQ for terms and conditions.
