 | Australasian Safari: Inall/Smith will intodruce the new Mitsubishi Challenger.

The 2011 Australasian Safari will see Mitsubishi Motors campaign a brand new current model "Challenger" in the hands of Robert Inall from NSW along with co driver Harvey Smith. The team will be competing for production class honours with the focus specifically being on the diesel category.
The Challenger, a 2.5 litre turbo diesel has backing from Mineforce, Mitsubishi Specialised Mining Vehicle Division. The event will be a perfect opportunity to display the capabilities of the Challenger which are purchased by mining companies not only in and around the mining areas that the Safari competes, but on a national basis.
With the main modifications being limited to upgraded suspension, larger fuel tank and the regular safety requirements. the team is confident that it will be a great promotion of a vehicle that can be used as either a family wagon, a seriously capable off roader or personnel transport within the mining and construction industries.
Robert Inall has twenty years of forest rallying in NSW as a driver at state and club level behind him, but it is his first attempt at his long held dream of competing in the Safari.
