Baja 500: Robby Gordon signs Baja 500/1000 sponsor partner

IonEarth announced today their partnership with Robby Gordon Off-Road for the SCORE Baja 500 and Baja 1000 races. The multi-time champion of the SCORE Baja 1000 and SCORE Baja 500 races, will utilize the most advanced technology in satellite tracking on Gordon's SCORE Trophy Truck slated to race in Mexico on June 2, 2007.

IonEarth provides real-time satellite telemetry and situational awareness technologies serving operations in difficult and remote environments. "IonEarth is a perfect match for the world's top off road race teams. For years, our company has deployed sophisticated technologies in petroleum industry operations throughout the world. We are continually implementing new ideas in both hardware and software applications. Using that same advanced technology in the off road racing world can provide race teams with an edge in managing logistics and deploying race support to the precise location of the race truck. Robby Gordon Off-Road joins a list of winning race teams, which all utilize our systems to manage their race programs," commented IonEarth's Jerry Miller.

Challenged by what could be considered some of the harshest terrain in the world, the upcoming SCORE Baja 500 is considered by experts to be one of the most difficult off road races in the universe. IonEarth off road race packages are deployed on many of the top SCORE Trophy Truck race teams.

IonEarth technologies display your chase team and race vehicle's location. Race support crews see the race vehicle's location, speed and direction, along with other details, on a portable display device. Chase crews can even send their location to the race vehicle, all utilizing a combination of GPS, satellite communications along with onboard mapping providing a real-time system like no other. IonEarth allows race teams to focus on the race instead of trying to find each other. Finally, IonEarth allows race fans to watch the race unfold over the Internet from anywhere in the world.
