|Baja Portalegre: More convenient entry fee for the Portuguese event.|
Following ACP’s cost reduction concern, the 24th Baja BP Ultimate Portalegre 500 is being planned to meet drivers and service teams needs, giving the chance to most of the interested competitors to enter the most traditional cross country race of the Portuguese season. Costs have been cut down, keeping both tradition and challenge of this classic event.
First, a small adjustment was made regarding the entry fees, reduced when compared to 2009. Secondly, ACP changed the event's schedule, removing the Friday stage for cars but keeping competition at an high level, with a total of 400 km to be driven in two stages.
Cars will enter the Rally in T1 and T2 for 1.520 Euros including GPS/GSM and Sentinel-rental, Bikes are able to start from 200 Euros (50 ccm).
Therefore, the race’s programme is:
- 28th October (Thursday): Administrative checks and scrutineering at NERPOR.
- 29th October (Friday): In the morning, competitors may recc the Super Special stage from 08h00 to 12h00. From 13h00 the Super Special stage takes place, starting with Bikes, Quads and UTV/Buggy, ending with Cars.
- 30th October (Saturday): One section of 400 km for Bikes, Quads and UTV/Buggy and two sections (SS2 e SS3) for Cars, with 160 km and 240 km respectively.
