Baja Slovakia: Zapletal won another title.

Quick return from Silk Way Rally and starting at Baja Slovakia paid off for Miroslav Zapletal. Although he had to compete with his spare car Mitsubishi Pajero DI-D with a weaker engine, he managed to keep on the leading positions. On the start list there were 21 cars, including Hungarian rivals Balázs Szalay, Erik Korda and others.

Saturday 3rd brought our crew 12 points which was enough for them to become champions of Czech Republic and achived their second title in this season. (In the Czech championship, crews score points for both race days of Baja Slovakia separately.)

Track around Borsky Mikulas was very interesting. In the 12 specials crews had to cpoe with sand and dust. The rally wasn't short on technical problems, many of the crews had to withdraw. Sunday, on SS 10 was Mirek forced to retire as well because the differential broke. But as the title was already in his pocket, he could go home to get ready for the next race, Baja Poland, without any bad feelings.

The winner of the rally was Hungarian Balázs Szalay.

"It was a very interesting race with strong competition. 12 points helped us to obtain the title, we are happy," comments Tomas Ourednicek.
