Baja Spain: Esteve acquires a new victories record at the Baja.

As expected, Isidre Esteve has won the third and last leg of the Baja 2006 and therefore became winner of the race at the bikes category. This is his sixth victory at the Baja what turns him the rider who has won most edition of the race. Esteve won his first Baja in 1998 and then again in the 2000, 2001, 2003 and 2005, always riding a KTM.
Jose Manuel Pellicer hasn’t have any opportunity against the catalan rider, who is 1.09 ahead him. But Pellicer made a great performance and got the second place. The special stage has started early this morning, with a comfortable temperature and the riders have made the 122km without problems until the Fair of Zaragoza.
Jordi Viladoms, who was riding his first Baja, has been another outstanding rider. He got the correct rhythm to achieve the podium, not making any mistake and improving day by day his performance on the race. Francisco Palacin’s victory at quads is outstanding too, as well as Fernando Fernandez’s at the Spanish Trophy. Furthermore Vicente Escuder has won the forth place at the 450cc class.
