Baja Spain: Esteve and Pellicer leaders at bikes’ second leg.

Today’s bikes journey has been an interesting duel between Isidre Esteve and Jose Manuel Pellicer along 537km of a hard and demanding route, typical at the Baja. After finding mud, water and a varied terrain, Esteve is still leader with 1.52sec ahead Pellicer.

Castellon’s rider started in the morning decided to give his best to catch the leader, and he has showed his aptitudes winning the third stage with a difference of only one second: he passed from 1.13 to 1.12. the most relevant happened at the second special stage where Pellicer has been the fastest at the first five check points. But Esteve could make up the difference at the last two and finished today’s leg with 40sec advantage, so that he is 1.52 ahead Pellicer at the general classification. This should be a reason of calmness for the catalan rider tomorrow, but because of the hardness of the route the fairest is wait until the end of the race to talk about results.

It’s important to mention Viladoms’ great performance, who’s on the absolut third place at his first Baja. The rider of Castellon Vicente Escuder has done a great journey too and is now on the fourth place.
