Baja Spain: Team Report from G-Force Motorsport after Day 1.

Today was the first full day of the G-Force Motorsport team in Spain. And though Boris Gadasin together with his co-driver Vladimir Demyanenko came here 2 days in advance to acclimatize themselves with the Spanish heat, it was only today that they met their mechanics bringing the Proto car from Russia to the race venue throughout the whole Europe. However, such journeys are what the car's already got used to, while it's yet to reveal its full potential in hot and grueling conditions of the Spanish Baja. That's why the first thing the team did today was (oh well, nutritious breakfast is not worth mentioning) finding a lonely track for checking whether the results found on the tests in Saint-Petersburg turned out successful for much hotter conditions.

And they actually did! First of all, the air conditioning system proved to be working perfectly. The crew did all their runs with windows shut, but nevertheless endured the high temperature (over 40 C outdoors, so just imagine how hot it was in the cockpit!) without any problems or complaints from both its members. They were very enthusiastic, and if not for the dusk, they would have surely continued testing! Besides "ventilation issues", the team managed to advance in some other settings, such as brake balance, suspension behavior and etc. Overall some more precise set ups were found particularly for the type of Spanish roads. According to Boris, the grip has clearly improved, and the car feels much better in corners.

So if you please, now we all have a late supper, while you, our dear readers, can enjoy some photos from today. Spain is beautiful. Especially decorated in the team's brand colours.
