Baja Spain: The Jarama circuit is ready to welcome the Baja

The organisers of the 2006 Baja España Madrid - Aragón are already working hard on the preparation of the event, and one of the most significant sceneries of this race will be, for the first time ever, the Jarama circuit. The Madrid track will host the 4.5 km gravel previous special stage on July 20th inside the circuit, and fans will be able to access the venue for free.
The Real Automóvil Club de España is in charge of designing this stage, and the machines are ready to start working on it. The track details will be kept a secret until the day before, in order to maintain the Baja characteristics intact. The timed stages are always a secret for the participants, and they are not allowed to train or test on these roads. On this occasion, the entrees will be able to access the track on Thursday July 20th, the same day as the event, right before the start, but they will only be permitted to cover the distance by foot, bicycle or scooter.
The Baja is also ready to welcome all the fans who want to witness the previous special stage and see all the action of the first round of the Baja España Madrid-Aragón from the grandstands for free. The start of the first motorcycle is scheduled at 4:10 p.m.
In the meantime, the registration of entrees is still underway with a good pace. Today, 92 cars, 138 motorcycles, and 8 trucks have been officially inscribed, which guarantees a success in participation, with the best riders and drivers of the sport.
