|Balkan-Breslau TICKER: Impressive fast stage in wonderful Varga region.|
"Speed was great": The today´s stage was splitted in three timed sections with 74, 71 and 105 kilometers and two liasions with 10 and 2 kms. "The speed was great," reported the German Thomas Becher, who is here with a Mercedes G Proto. "Our car is made for this kind of tracks.
The day was long, including all we were in the car more then 7 hours," he said. "The track was mixed, I would say 80 % fast speed on wide open and dusty field, 20% in forests. We prefer the fast sections because our cover of the car is made of plastic and its easy to destroy you car in the narrow tracks between the trees."
As Thomas reported, there was a small error in the roadbook. This also confirmed "Dakar Lady" Tina Meier, riding happily with her Yamaha Bike and being always perfect dressed in the camp. "I liked the stage. It was also good in navigation, I saw many cars making mistakes and driving in different directions, but if you will read the roadbook carefully you will find the right way easily. In one point there was a small mistake, you should drive left instead of right. But if you were wrong you found out after some meters, so nothing special.
Actually we don´t have a first view about today´s winners, but if you stay tuned we can tell you something about the overall standings...
