|Balkan-Breslau TICKER: Schimmel and Hatzmann about today´s stage.|
"All over sophisticated": In the early afternoon, nearly all competitors finished today´s stage, a round course in the region of Varna in eastern Bulgaria. Dutch Niels Hatzmann, driving with a Can Am SSV, was happy about today´s stage, which provided more than 250 kilometers timed tracks. "It was all over sophisticated," he reported in the camp. "Fast driving, sometimes tricky navigation, that´s what I want."
Also Biker Simon Schimmel from Holland was not only fast, he liked the stage. "I was always fighting with Henno van Bergeijk and Doron Winter" he said, "we always changed the position. Sometimes Henno was in front, sometimes me. After all I think I will be on third position today."
Simon is testing a new bike for the Dakar Rally 2014: "This is a KTM 450 AFI, I´m not testing the bike for myself, but we want to see if its stable or what will be unstable. Until today everything is doing well, only some small things broke so we now know what to prepare or change for next year´s Dakar Rally."
Schimmel is very experienced in driving, was at Poland-Breslau, MT-Rally, Albania Rally and big events like "Australasian Safari". "Every rally is different and has its own style," he said. "What I like here next to the nice landscape and good roadbooks is the professionality. If there is a descision, there is a descision and no discussion. I like that!".
