|Balkan-Breslau TICKER: The French, Bulgarian and Dutch are leading rally.|
Dutchman Simon Schimmel (KTM) is leading the overall rankings in the bikes with 21:38:47 in front of the Israelian Doron Winter (KTM, 23:33:12), Henno van Bergeijk (NL, Husaberg, 26:05:34), German lady Tina Meier (Yamaha, 26:12:23) and the German Frank Weisbach (KTM, 32:22:51).
In the quads, only three participants started and only two are still running. If the last quad will not start again he also will not be on the podium, but actually he still has a overall time. So fighting not for the podium but for the win are the Dutch Robert Weijers with his Yamaha Raptor and 27:14:30 hours, followed by Swiss Pascal Troyon (Can Am Renegade, 35:21:30). The Bulgarian Vasil Tomov still has a time of 45:30:10 hours, but is actually out of the race.
In the SSV (Side-by-Side) only four participants started - and all are still running. The actual order in this class: The French father-daughter duo Philippe and Lea Gauthier are leading with their Polaris with 21:39:00 hours. Second are Rene Delaby and Colette Taburiaux from Belgium (Polaris, 22:13:58) in front of Della Barbera / Lelateur (Belgium, Polaris, 22:14:09) and the "racing journalist" Niels Hatzmann with his girlfriend sasja Ligtenbarg (NL, Can Am, 25:21:14).
Let´s have a look in the cars. In the fast Cross Country class, the Hungarian Dakar-driver Balacz Szalay would be proud - seeing his sold Opel Antara RR now in front of the Balkan-Breslau in the hands of the Bulgarians Petar Cenkov and Ivan Marinov. They are leading overall with sensational 18:56:58 hours. They were stricly set under pressure by the last year winners Slavchev Desislav / Margarita Staynova with their Mercedes G500 (19 22 26) and the both Dutchman Maurice Ubachs / Maurice van Weersch (Toyota Hilux, Holland, 20:08:42). Fourth are the French Jean-Jacques Michel and Andre Ferrari in their Land Rover Proto (20:28:41), fifth Raz Heyman / Hillel Segal from Israel (Mitsubishi Proto, 21:32:23).
In the Extreme Class, Christophe Moine and Olovier Vailleau from France are giving us a great show, leading with 22:52:03 hours in their white Tomcat Land Rover. Behind them our "in Love" couple Rudy and Aurelia Roquelasane also from France (Land Rover RRC, 24:15:01), Vincent Roubin / Laetitia Lageix (France, Land Rover, 25:00:13), Martin Dechent and Carmen Hruep (Switzerland, Toyota HDJ80, 25:53:00) and Didier Chauvot / Philippe Bonavent (France, Land Rover, 26:28:32).
