 | Balkan Offroad: Five-time Dakar-winner Josef Machacek to start in Bulgaria.

The five-time winner of the Dakar Rally in the Quad/ATV class, Josef Machacek from Czech Republic, he will start in the biggest off-road competition in Bulgaria and the Balkans at the beginning of September in Kardzhali - the "Balkan Offroad Marathon".
In the same class will ride also first Bulgarian woman who will start in this edition of "Dakar 2012" - Zornitza Todorova. Until now she has three starts in beg European and World competitions, as she won two first places and one second.
"Balkan Off-Road Marathon 2011" is the third round of the National Championship and third round of "Balkan Cup 2011". Over 50 participants with motorcycles, ATV and cars 4x4 from Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Austria, Hungary, Croatia, France, Slovenia, and Czech Republic will participate in six days competition with 1500 kms between Kardzhali and Orestiada (Greece).
The competition is under the auspices of the Mayor of Kardzhali - Mr. Hasan Azis and with the support of the Municipality of Kardzhali. The official opening will be on 4th of September near to the rope bridge of the "Water Mirror" close to the centre of the town, where the spectators will watch an attractive demonstration of the competitors.
The organizer of the competition is the famous Bulgarian pilot Todor Hristov - first Bulgarian competitor in the South America Dakar rally in 2011. This is the third edition of Balkan Off Road Marathon, as previous started from Vratsa and Plovdiv and finished in Greece.
With a specially hired helicopter will be shoot the most attractive moments, and every evening "TV7" will broadcast information in the "News".
