|Borneo Safari: Following the concept of Camel Trophy end of October.|
The theme for this year's "Borneo Safari" is `Xtreme Trus Madi´ - adventure in the Highlands. This entails eight days discovering the extreme highland terrains of the Trus Madi Forest Reserve. The event comprises two categories each following the concept of the "Camel Trophy" where all members will reach the final goal.
Firstly there is the competition category where strictly scrutinised vehicles will compete in up to 20 (minimum 16) special stages (SS). A competition team will comprise of the competition vehicle (driver & co-driver) and a support vehicle with two mechanics.
Tasks taken during the course of the expedition include, bridge building, deep river crossings, winching and mud slide clearance. The winner will take home the Challenge Trophy, cash prizes and sponsored items.
The second category is the Expedition Category for anyone with or without a vehicle. Those who wish to enter a vehicle will be subjected to strict scrutineering as they will also encounter the difficulties mentioned for the Competition Category. They will of course not participate in the Special Stages. During the course of the journey the convoy will drive through extreme off road terrains with breathtaking views of Sabah, North Borneo.
For those wishing to compete, drive their own vehicle or be a passenger please contact in the first instance Mr. John Kong [ firstname.lastname@example.org ]. More information can be found at [ BORNEO SAFARI ].
