|Breslau Rally: The 20th Anniversary Edition of the Breslau Rally Poland.|
"The legend lives on" - the "Breslau Rally" has for the past 20 years been "The Off-Road Rally" in Europe. In 2013, the event celebrates their 20th Anniversary edition in Poland and look back at many memorable moments with both their ups and their downs. The Breslau can now truly allow call itself a legend in European motorsport.
It’s one of the few amateur events that each year offers new challenges, comes up with new routes and camps. So in 2013 we expect about 180 competitors from all over Europe and beyond in all categories: Enduro, ATV, UTV, Extreme Cars, Trucks <7.5t, Trucks> 7.5t. The Breslau has become one of the meeting points for racers from all walks of life.
For this year’s anniversary edition of the Rally Breslau the start will be at the motorsport facilities of the Lausitzring. If traveling by plane the best airports are Dresden (30 minutes drive) or, alternatively, Berlin (about 60-90 minutes drive)
On Thursday, 27th June from 18.00 registrations will be open in the camp. On Friday 28th June we will have technical scruteneering and first aid training. First driver's briefing is on Friday 28th June from 21.00. The preparation for the start of the prologue is on Saturday 29th June at 10.00 and the prologue itself starts at 10.30. Drivers briefing is scheduled for 21.00.
On Sunday, 30th June the first stage will take place next to the Lausitz Ring (after the scheduled warm-up around the Lausitz Oval at 8.00) and early in the afternoon (around 13.00 ) will be the end of the stage. Afterwards, we head to Poland for the second Stage.
Only three camps are planned - at the Lausitzring (Germany), in Drawsko Pomorskie and Zagan (both Poland). This is a clear advantage for the overall logistics and greatly facilitates the rally service. More information about the rally sequence in Poland will follow shortly.
This year the new RAID Geotraq timing system will be used for precise time keeping. Developed by active rally drivers, the system is designed to ensure 100% transparency for the organisers and the participants.
The waterproof GPS tracker is mounted inside the vehicle (Enduro, ATV, SSV, cars, trucks), then read directly at the finish and immediately produces a preliminary evaluation of the stage as a printout for the competitor. On this all important data (start, finish, CPs, speed checks, statistics, etc.) are included. The printout in conjunction with the board card gives competitors the chance to check the result and possibly to appeal.
The finish will be in the Polish town of Zagan that has frequently been a good host to us and is described as the Offroad capital of Europe. "This year we are offering the opportunity for your family members, friends, and sponsors to share in the Breslau Experience at the finish" the organizers said. "You can soak in the atmosphere of the competition at the bivouac and gain an insight into the world of Offroad over a nice meal."
More information about the rally and official documents are available on the official website [ RALLY-BRESLAU.COM ] in different laguages.
