|Breslau TICKER: And the winners are... The leaders after SS02 Monday.|
There were some rumours today who will be in front or not - even in our reportings. We called it "Trend", because to say "Trend" is always better then to give you a false result. For those who didn´t follow our daily reports today: Our "Trends" are given by the live-tracking (inofficially)... and this is not including penalties, which will eventually given later...
So, some "trends" were good, some were wrong. Let´s first start with the cars today evening - or better morning (yes, we are working hardly for you), because the leaders are interesting again. Not mentioned as winners in our ticker, but also no surprise: The sympathic favourites and former Breslau-winners Martin Haehle and Wolfgang Braun from Germany (Toyota BMW Proto) won the stage in 05:43:00 hours.
Second became the French "Mecacool" duo Luc Raufie and Yann Girard (Tomcat Proto, 06:04:11) in front of Alexandre Tranchez / Sebastien Therez (07:06:00), Cedric Porcher and Damien Kermorvant (07:19:46) and Sylvain Mautret / Gabriel Roy (07:26:55)... So we see an other trend: Except the German leaders, the Breslau becomes "French"...after some years of Polish drivers´ domination.
In the bikes, Michal Zukowski from Poland set the best time with 05:02:23 hours, followed by the Dutchman Henk Knuiman (05:06:57), the Germans Juen Beat (05:24:00) and Oliver Post (05:25:00) and a second Dutchman, Rico van der Sanden (05:38:02).
In the quads category the day´s stage was won by the Pole Remigiusz Kusy in 05:53:45 hours - and with Maciej Markiewicz (05:54:46) and Piotr Ceklarz (06:11:00) also the second and third place will go to Poland. Martins Lilienfels set the fourth position in 07:12:49 hours in front of the Latvian Ainars Birkovs (07:12:55).
Finally there are the trucks, light and heavy, which means less or more 7.5 tons. In the light class, the Belgians Wineboud De Lille and Karel Vereecke were the fastest with their Mercedes Unimog in 06:07:09 hours.
On the second position we see the German Unimog crew of the trio Toepfer / Budde / Heinzig (06:18:00) in front of the German Udo Heidenreich and his navigator Hermann Schmitz (Unimog, 06:19:24), truck-specialist Alfred Wemhoff and Bernd Hesselmann (Unimog, Germany, 06:44:00) and the Italians Marino Mutti / Roberto Zambelli (also Unimog, 06:53:15).
During the big trucks we were right in our ticker today when we saw the German IFA crew Chemnitz / Beier / Moeler in front. They won the stage in 05:49:57 hours, followed by the MAN KAT of Robert Striebe and his crew (06:57:00), Mirco Andreae and Christian Offen (07:06:59), Silvio Menz and Anke Rexhaeuser (08:09:56) and on fifth the Czech trio Frantisek Svoboda / Hilan Drazda / Novak Zdenek in their orange Tatra (09:58:00).
We are now closing the news-ticker for today and wish you a good night! Today will be the second day in Poland, also in the Drawsko Pomorskie area...we will keep you informed!
