|Breslau TICKER: First bikes in camp, Van der Sanden eventually winner.|
At 17:30 only the first 8 bikes arrived in the camp, no cars, quads, SSV and trucks. And we have a trend for today: If there are no penalties (and it looks like), Dutchman Rico van der Sanden eventually has made the stagewin with 05:31:05 hours, only 59 seconds in front of Henk Knuiman and 01:55 minutes in front of David Wijnhoven (both also from Holland).
They were followed by Oliver Post (+10:22), Herwin de Roo (+10:33), Frank Modl (+25:09), Marcus Kettler (+30:13) and Marcin Macala (+36:53).
Gerd Kastenmeier, who stucked in the stage after technical problems, kept his promise when he told "In 30 minutes I will drive again": His mechanicd were in time with the spareparts and the car was repaired after exactly 32 minutes...
