Central Europe Rally: Loprais Tetra Team concludes final testings.

A three-day Dakar bivouac event organized by Loprais Tatra Team at the traditional venue, the military compound Zahorie in Slovakia, concludes another stage of preparations before Central Europe Rally. The team has practiced another set of chassis modification with the aim of improving the handling of the truck. As a result, these have proved to be helpful and provided an excellent feedback. "The time and effort we have devoted to the truck’s development after the canceled Dakar has paid in the end," team manager Milan Loprais says, "the truck is definitely faster now, even in comparison to the version for Dakar 2008."
The truck offers an improved response to the control by the steering wheel. "The change is fabulous. I am able to turn in bends in a more progressive turning curve and especially control more power to leaving the mend. It always saves some time, especially at technical sections we are about to see in Hungary and Romania. The truck responses like a real racing machine now," team pilot Ales Loprais says.
The Central Europe Rally is an event organized by the A.S.O., which organizes and promotes also the legendary Dakar. It is the first event of the Dakar series. The start will takes place on April 20 at the Heroes Place in Budapest and the race will conclude at the Balaton lake six days later.
