Dakar 2007: Chicherit and Baumel without serious injuries.

Guerlain Chicherit and co-driver Mattieu Baumel, who had been forced to retire their BMW X3CC from the Dakar Rally on the stage between Tan Tan and Zouerat, were airlifted to Las Palmas in the Canary islands for medical checks on Thursday evening. They underwent a thorough medical examination and were detained in hospital for the night, but were not diagnosed with any serious injuries. "They wanted to check into a hotel, but I advised them to stay in hospital for the night," confirmed X-Raid Team Director Sven Quandt.
