Dakar 2008: Humanitarian projects maintained on the rally course

The Spanish fundation Dakar Solidario, maintained its humanitarian operation to Mauritania. Its president, Doctor Xavier Mir, donated 15 tons of medical equipment on Wednesday January 16th in Nouakchott. He was accompanied by the Mauritanian Health minister, members of the government, the Spanish and French ambassadors, Roger Kalmanovitz from Amaury Sport Organisation as well as competitors Marc Coma and Nani Roma. The Actions Dakar, operated by Sos Sahel in Mauritania and Senegal will also be maintained as planned.
