Dakar 2008: Hungarian Sandor Kis "I´m happy for the lot of Sand".

The Hungarians Sandor Kis and Peter Czegledi with their Nissan Navara are over a successful season; they are preparing for the Dakar Rally after having acquired their second Hungarian Championship title. They haven´t been so lucky with the Lisbon starts, where once they had to say good-bye due to a crash and at some other time because of technological reasons, that is, in the past two years. "The Nissan was perfect during the season, and unlike many other competitors I am happy for the lot of sand that we have to drive on, since that type of soil spares the car´s good condition, as opposed to rock deserts for example" - said Kis.

He also shared with us that he had done serious physical preparations, similarly to his co-pilot, Peter Czegledi. However, he is on a fattening diet, because he had lost a lot of weight at the Dakar in the past years, and he wishes to start he big competition with some reserves.

Concerning the chances Kis said: There is no chance of coping with professional teams, since their pilots are testing in the desert, non-stop, and therefore they are more experienced and possess greater technological background. This is why Kis told us that he wishes to finish the race after the professionals, among the best.
