 | Dakar 2010 BLOG: Iberian Champion "Kicks" - First Win for Carlos.
|

 | | | Daily Blog-"Kicks" from the Iberian Rally Raid Champion Filipe Campos - Part 07: In a stage that all classified as rally type, Carlos Sainz lived up to its past as a pilot of that specialty and achieved his first victory in Dakar, making a warning to his teammate Al-Attiyah, who was approaching dangerously to the Spanish, but that was only forth of the day, one minute and fourty seconds from the race leader.
Among the Portuguese, the highlight of the day goes to Miguel Barbosa, since this was his first time as the best portuguese on stage, with the seventh place overall. Still, Barbosa holds the 12th position in general, two places ahead of Leal dos Santos, who was the 12th fastest on stage and six places behind Carlos Sousa, that was the 10th fastest today.
In the motorcycles, Hélder Rodrigues was the third fastest and that clearly illustrates that this was also a favourable day for him. Rodrigues lost 2m36s for Marc Coma, who won, but won the time Lopez Contardo, again threatening the third place overall in Chile. Ruben Faria was fourth and Bianchi Prata 32.
Up front continues Cyril Despres, although today has not done better than the sixth best mark. Tomorrow we are seeing a short step that marks the return of the caravan to Argentina, with a route drawn on the mountain, over 3500 meters of altitude...
