Daily Blog-"Kicks" from the Iberian Rally Raid Champion Filipe Campos - Part 01: Stéphane Peterhansel is the new leader of the Dakar 2010, while Carlos Sousa is among the top six Cars. Hélder Rodrigues appears to have the desire to achieve a historic result on two wheels.
It did not take much to understand wich pilots have more acces in this Dakar. The first stage with sand, was enough to see, that in addition to the drivers that won the first tow legs, we will have to be aware with Stéphane Peterhansel.
The driver that BMW picked in the middle of summer showed all his class and went over five minutes ahead of runner-up, to consequently achieve the leadership of the race. This was undoubtedly a great day for BMW and the French driver who take advantage of every meters, of this short but challenging sstage to show its valour.
If it is true that other might be able to win this Dakar, the fact to remain, is that what we saw on Monday can be an interesting signal to the rest of the race...
Carlos Sousa is already in the first six overall. Despite the regulatory constraints imposed upon him, and that place it in a clearly unfavorable, the pilot of the Racing Lancer has been doing a very consistent race. In terms of two-wheel drive, highlighted obvious to our "Striker" from Portugal; Helder Rodrigues is already on the top three.
