 | Dakar 2010: SA´s Alfie Cox is "loading instead of driving".
|
As the last competitors were finishing the stage into Santiago, South Africa’s Alfie Cox and his German co-driver, the owner of PS Laser Racing, were busy loading their car into the container in Buenos Aries to be shipped back to South Africa.
"Our T4 truck blew a turbo the day before we crashed out of the rally. We managed to repair that in Antofagasta in Chile, where the rest day was, and then used the truck to tow the Navara over the Andes in what felt like thousands of kilometers to the Dakar village in Buenos Aries. The job is done and we really look forward to next year’s Dakar," said a very relaxed Alfie Cox.
