Dakar 2010: Volkswagen and Mitsubishi to test in Morocco this weekend.

Due to the French Team JMB Stradale with Nicolas Misslin and Jean-Michel Polato and their Ex-works Mitsubishi Racing Lancer MRX also the German Volkswagen-Team is in Morocco. The Germans started latest Tests for the Silk Way Rally, which starts on September 5th and will be the last "big test" for Volkswagen before the Dakar Rally 2010.
At the controls: Carlos Sainz/Lucas Cruz (E/E), Giniel de Villiers/Dirk von Zitzewitz (ZA/D), Mark Miller/Ralph Pitchford (USA/ZA) and Nasser Al-Attiyah/Timo Gottschalk (Q/A).
The four Dakar-pairs test the powerful 280 hp Volkswagen Race Touareg 2 around the city of M´hamid. Erfoud represents the test centre between 16 and 21 August. Two of the cross country rally prototypes victorious at the 2009 Dakar Rally will be used at the test in Morocco.
