 | Dakar 2013: Mitsubishi official supplier - best represented brand on rally.
|

 | | | Mitsubishi boasts a significant footprint in the Dakar’s history, with 12 titles picked up between 1985 and 2007, by 9 different drivers. 2013, the Japanese firm will not be expected very high in the standings but it is already ensured of playing a primordial role in the race, because it has now become an official Dakar supplier.
To supervise the competitors, scout the tracks ahead of the race or take position at the time-check points, deployment of the organiser’s teams has to be orchestrated with the greatest of care. In order to do this, they will be taking advantage of 43 specially prepared vehicles to carry out all their missions, between Lima and Santiago.
Tuned-up to tackle the dunes, the Pajero and L200 Triton were proudly presented by Fernando Julianelli, Marketing Director for Mitsubishi Brazil: "We are proud to be assisting the Dakar. There was no way that best performing all-terrain brand could remain absent from the biggest rally in the world. It is also another opportunity for us to continue developing our 4x4s and to demonstrate their resistance."
In the last years, Volkswagen was the official car-partner with the all-new Amarok Pickup and other cars.
