 | Dakar Rally 2013: A new axle for French Trophy Truck driver Eric Vigouroux.
|

 | | | The day was long and hot, and the crew Eric Vigouroux / Jean Brucy (France) was apprehensive at the start Tuesday morning. "We had an enormous pressure on our shoulders, tells the French driver. "Monday, during the stage Tucuman - Córdoba, we broke the last axle we had. I was sad because for us, the rally was over in Cordoba, I thought there wasn´t any way to solve this."
But during the night, my amazing mechanical team put together a new axle with two broken ones. Incredible, but true! And their hard and outstanding work allowed us to take the start Tuesday morning.
"During the first kilometers, we were very careful but then, we realized that everything worked well. So, I was able to drive at my pace, and we completed the stage in an outstanding 19th position" reported Eric Vigouroux.
"Unfortunately, we know that this won´t last until the end. Someone must come from the United States and I am trying to organize the transport of the spare pieces we are missing. Our main goal is to get to the finish line, whatever it takes."
