 | Dakar Rally 2013: Ales Loprais and his Tatra-Team one of the truck-heros

How it all began? There are a lot of fables and legends about the origin of individual races, the birth of automobile factories or racers themselves. But nearly anybody´s story is such unusual as Thierry Sabine´s one.
In 1997 he was riding his motorbike in the desert and got lost. He couldn´t find his way for three days. Fortunatelly Sabine survived and what is more he decided to share his experience, adrenaline ride and adventures from the inhospitable desert with others. That is why the idea of Dakar Rally was born.
A year later his vision of the race for everyone was accomplished and the first very original and demanding Paris-Dakar race was held in 1978. Gradually, year by year the route of the race was changed. In fact, the Paris- Dakar rally started exactly in Paris only a few times. In 2008 the rally had to be cancelled due to safety reasons, still its tradition wasn´t interrupted and in April of the same year its route led from Hungary to Romania.
Nowadays the Dakar Rally takes place in South America where conditions are great. Especially the native inhabitants perceive the race as heroic and very popular and it is also supported by the states whose areas the route goes through. Thanks to the adjusted organization and route the racers will probably touch the bottom of their forces and will test their ability limits even better than ever before.
The rally starts in Lima - the driest city in the world and a day off comes after eight stages of the race. On Saturday 5th January 2013 the participants of the competition set out for the journey again to face nature and inhospitable conditions in the craziest and best-made motor monsters including motorcycles, four-wheelers, off-road cars and trucks.
Also the InstaForex Loprais Team led by Ales Loprais is looking for managing the coming challenges. The last days the team sets out for the journey to Vienna first and then by plane to Lima transferring in Madrid. They are going to face this year adventure and competing. The vehicle TATRA 815 2 ZO R45 12.400 4x4.1 Dakar 2013 - Princess 69 has been given the competing number 503.
Nearly 200 motorcycle competitors from all corners of the world take place in the race, two of them are Czech representatives. "Unfortunatelly we have no Czech representatives in the four-wheeler and car categories but the statistics is improved by participation of heavy truck crews" the team reported.
"Our crew with number 503 competes for InstaForex Loprais Team, Ales Loprais as a pilot together with his navigator Serge Bruynkens from Belgium and his mechanic Radim Pustejovský. They won´t get anything for free and on the other hand they won´t give anyone minutes or seconds for free."
