 | Dakar Rally 2013: Can-Am SA sets the pace among the quads and UTV´s.

 The dunes in the city of Pisco, in Peru, were the background to the second stage of the Dakar Rally realized this Sunday with a special stage of 327 kms, being 242 of these timed. The Can-Am team set the race pace today outstanding the Chilean quad Sebastián Palma in 12th place on board his Can-Am Renegade 800 Xxc.
The result kept the competitor in first place in the 4x4 class and 10th in the overall classification, according to the extra-official results. Ahead in the UTVs, the Brazilian Reinaldo Varela was the fastest of the second stage.
"It is undoubtedly a good result, but this is only the beginning. The race is very long", remembered Palma, Who felt very good in the Peruvian sand dunes.
"It was fun and not very stressing for the equipment and the body. I kept a good pace to be among the best riders", continued. Barry Cruces was another good result for the Can-Am team with 16th place in the second stage and in the overall quad classification table.
Among the UTVs, Reinaldo Varela used his T2 Cars World Champion abilities and was the fastest of the day on board a Can-Am Commander 1000. "The vehicle is extremely pleasureful to drive, the driver Ca follow through without being caught by any surprise because it passes over the obstacles easily", commented the experienced driver.
