The Can-Am Team moved up some positions in the overall classification after the fourth stage of the Dakar Rally, realized this Tuesday between Nazca and Arequipa, in Peru. Having set the 13th fastest time of the day, the Chilean rider Sebastián Palma is back in the Top 10 among the quads, in 10th place, consolidating the leadership in the 4x4 class.
The Argentinean rider Claudio Clavigliasso confirmed the tenth Best time today and moved up three positions in the overall classification, taking over the 14th place.
"The rally has been very difficult up to here, but I intend to keep up the pace and stay calm so I don´t rush whenever it is not necessary and go as fast as I can whenever it is possible, always keeping in mind not to make any mistakes and do my best to preserve the quad", taught Palma, 35 year-old rider.
"Fortunately I have been able to maintain a good classification position, regardless of still being far from the end", he continued. The Can-Am Team is racing on board the Renegade 800 Xxc quads.
The Team is also outstanding among the UTVs that are competing with the cars. The Brazilian driver Reinaldo Varela, two-times world Champion in the T2 car class, was the third fastest in the UTVs and 55th when including the cars.
"Today was another impressive Day, the down hills were really scary", commented the driver who is competing on board a Can-Am Commander 1000 without the help of a co-pilot.
