Dakar Rally 2013 TICKER: KTM rider Kurt Caselli wins SS11, stage stopped.

KTM rider Kurt Caselli (USA) has won the Wednesday´s 11th special between La Rioja and Fiambala. Paulo Gonçalves (Husqvarna) has taken advantage of the problems encountered by his countryman Hélder Rodrigues, finishing 4:45 minutes behind the winner.

Cyril Despres has finished in third place, 6:24 mins behind Caselli, Juan Pedrero Garcia in fourth, 10:18" behind the US-American, but 32 seconds ahead of Francisco Lopez. Alessandro Botturi finishes in seventh, 11:31 mins behind the stage winner.

The weather conditions have deteriorated further than forecast and the dry river beds that cross the route today are in a state of torrential flood. The rally organisers have decided to stop the special for the cars and trucks.
