 | Dakar Rally 2013: Vladimir Putin met with "KAMAZ-master" team in Sochi.

February, 5 in Sochi President of Russia Vladimir Putin congratulated "Kamaz-Master" team on a victory at the Dakar Rally 2013. "I know this kind of victories is always like the first. Because it does not come easily, but with great difficulty, there you need a lot of courage. I congratulate you on your success and outstanding result. I wish you to keep this up, be always concentrated and achieve new successes and victories" said the head of state.
The head of the team, seven-time champion of Dakar Vladimir Chagin agreed with the President that every victory is perceived as the first. "Our present victory - the first for our young crews," he said, having in mind crews of Eduard Nikolaev, Ayrat Mardeev and Andrey Karginov who took the whole victory podium. "The last Dakar was their first one and not very successful, but this time we set the task for all our racers to get on the podium and all of them accomplished it well" he added.
Director General of "Kamaz" Sergey Kogogin told to the President that on such difficult route as Dakar, there are different technical problems, but the Russian trucks could overcome it with honor. "There was no extraordinary situation" he noted.
The founder of the team Semen Yakubov also noted that Russian trucks successfully overcame not only technical, but also moral confrontation with eminent rivals.
