|Dakar Rally 2014: Kärcher again supporting rally with cleaning stations|
One more time, Kärcher, the leading cleaning products brand, joins the Dakar Rally during its sixth year in South America. The company will cover the route linking Argentina, Bolivia and Chile with four cleaning stations. Furthermore, Kärcher will hold an own booth at the Dakar Village of Rosario with various activities for the public.
During the previous Dakar Rally in 2013, 5,000 vehicles were washed at Kärcher cleaning stations along the way of the competition – almost 2,000 vehicles more than the previous edition. Thus, it was demonstrated the high performance of Kärcher’s equipment even in extreme conditions: the technology allowed water savings of almost 80% compared to traditional car wash.
In this new edition Kärcher has four washing facilities, equipped with pressure washers – HD 1040 B, G2600, G4000 models and HD7140 Xpert – distributed over the cities San Juan and Salta in Argentina, as well as Antofagasta and La Serena in Chile. All teams will thoroughly clean their vehicles before beginning preparations to face the challenges of the next day’s route.
Kärcher’s pressure washers are designed to meet all the requirements at the different application areas and for the most dissimilar cleaning tasks. An example of this is “Kärcher cleans the world” programme. Running for over 30 years, has already cleaned more than 90 monuments including the presidents’ heads on Mount Rushmore in South Dakota, the statue of Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro and Cordoba Arc in Argentina in 2012.
At the Dakar Village in Rosario, Santa Fe (Argentina) there will be a Kärcher booth. From Friday 2nd to Saturday 4th of January, Dakar fans will be able to visit this stand and enjoy games, raffles and also meet the drivers of X-raid and KTM teams - both supported by Kärcher and winners of Dakar previous edition.
