|Desafio Inca: Entries open for Dakar Series in Peru, fees starts at 1,250 Euros.|
Since 2008, the "Dakar Series" has grouped together events which meet the organisational standards of the Dakar and respect the fundamental values of all-terrain rallies.
In 2014, the calendar will be developed with a third event in South America. In addition to the "Desafio Ruta 40" in Argentina and the "Desafio Inca" in Peru, the "Desafio Guarani" in Paraguay will be created. Together they represent a particularly challenging preparatory run-up to the Dakar.
By exploring Peru during the last two editions of the rally, the Dakar’s competitors discovered regions which were perfect for off-road races. The Peruvian desert has exasperated the best drivers in the world, allowed them to distinguish themselves and put them in difficult situations.
Above all, the passion for the Dakar won over the country’s drivers, who adopted the rally and formed a “national team” in January, comprising 25 vehicles in 2013.
Peruvian passion for off-road rallies will run high once again at the Desafio Inca, which joined the ranks of the most important races in the world in October. So it is very natural for the region of Pisco to host the race and welcome drivers from Peru and from South America in general.
The fastest technical specialists and amateurs who want to test themselves will able to do so on a short and intense route format, during a competition lasting three days, from 11th to 14th of September 2014.
Entries for the Desafio Inca are now opened. The entry fees are surprisingly low: Bikes have to pay 1,250 - 1,750 Euros (1 person), cars 2,500 to 3,000 Euros (2 persons), INCLUDING one assistance vehicle, safety equipment (GPS, Iritrack, insurances) and accomodation (twin room, 4 nights).
