Dos Sertões: Rally date for 2008 Brasilian Rally defined

The 16th edition of the Sertões International Rally will be realized from June 18th to 28th, 2008. The date was announced by Dunas Race, company that promotes the largest rally of the Americas, valid as a round of the Cross Country Rally World Championship for bikes and quads. The event crosses the Brazilian countryside and has bikes and quads, cars and trucks on the starting list.
The registrations for the 2008 race are open. The second phase of registrations will cost US$ 2.834,00 (R$ 5.100,00) for bikes and quads and US$ 6.167,00 (R$ 11.100,00) for cars and trucks. Assistance team members will pay US$ 539,00 (R$ 970,00) per person. These values will be effective until March 31st, 2008, and correspond to 7% discount for cash payments (the exchange rate used for the con version is R$ 1,00 x US$1,80, subject to changes according to exchange rates).
After this period there will not be any more discounts and the competitors will pay US$ 3.117,00 (R$ 5.610,00) bikes/quads, US$ 6.784,00 (R$ 12.210,00) cars/trucks and US$ 611,00 (R$ 1.100,00) assistance teams/ per person.
