 | DUTCH ORC: Two new races in the Dutch Offroad Racing Championship 2012.
|
In 2012 two new races are scheduled in the "Dutch Offroad Racing Championship". On March 10-11 an all new beachrace is organized in Ijmuiden. With stages on hard sand, big jumps and tight corners the race will be fast and great to watch.
After a mass start, the drivers decide which car has the fastest line and the strongest nerves. The beachrace is unique, breathtaking and the start of a season of well organized and competitive races in the Netherlands.
Also new is the "VHC Offroad Racing Havelte", covering an area comparable to the former "Baja Saxonia" (now Baja 300). With sand, forests, mud and tracks this race is something special in a small country like the Netherlands. 500 hectare of land is available, which means the specials will easily go over 20 km in length.
Over the last years several international teams have participated in the Dutch Offroad Racing championship, including drivers like the German Champion Ingo Kaldarasch or the teams Walcher, Vockrodt and others. The Dutch competition is very fast, friendly and a lot of Dakar participants also race here. Anyone with a valid FIA licence and a car that meets the safety requirements can participate.
