 | FIA World Cup: Klaudia Podkalicka and Joanna Madej - the new female team.
|
On July 27th on the training ground in a village near Szczecin (Poland) was a presentation of the first Polish female team in cross country rallying: Klaudia Podkalicka (driver) and Joanna Madej (navigator), Polish champion in the Super 1600 class in 2007 and second vice Polish Champion Cup Peugeot 206 Rally in 2002.
The presentation of the new racing team was combined with tests of the T2 Mitsubishi Pajero before the start of the "Baja Poland 2012" - round of the FIA World Cup for Cross Country Rallys. Before the team tested the car first time in the "Baja Carpathica".
"We want to break the stereotype that women are weak and unable to fight" said Klaudia Podkalicka. "Twenty-first century women are strong and brave, and so, as we enter boldly into areas previously reserved only for men. I am convinced that our project will run very well."
Without any doubt, the presence of a new ladies' team generates big interest on the male dominated motorsport car world. Both players are experienced and have ambitious plans for launches in the coming racing events. Courage, speed, precision combined with feminine delicacy and subtle grace and faith in victory is undoubtedly advantages with which we meet when Klaudia and Joanna will start.
"I´m looking forward to work with Claudia" said navigator Joanna Madej. "This is an experienced athlete, with who the work will definitely fine. I think that together we can mess with this man's "world". We know each other and like in private life and this will definitely help us in our work."
Marathonrally.com will support the girls with reports and more from their new career. For more informations about the team, please visit the official website at [ KLAUDIAPODKALICKA.COM ] or become a fan at [ FACEBOOK ].
